Step by step of the MSP 6th Batch

Today on July 7th (7/7/2021), Japanese people celebrate Tanabata, the day of the Star Festival. We, MSP students, also celebrated but with double joy. As we have already submitted our final research paper draft, the long journey through the academic realm seems to be progressing in a good way. Still, we keep on studying and working hard for what the future might bring to test us before we reach the goal of our graduation.
Mentioning celebration, the current situation makes it hard to enjoy the special events. Before, you must ‘throw off the mask’ when you are with your friends but now you must always wear your mask. Also, there are many COVID measures that undermine our spirits. Life is harder at the moment. However, together I believe, we would move forward through these obstacles where success awaits ahead. There is always a silver lining within our reach.
The COVID measures also affect MSP students in many ways. Before we came to the JCGA, the class was mostly online lectured. It was tough and obscure, as they were almost a one-way communication. Luckily, when we are at the JCGA, we have a face-to-face class. The interactions and feel-free-to-ask atmosphere make the class lively and more interesting. Furthermore, the food at the JCGA cafeteria is ‘Oishi desu’. I am blessed to be here.
The next step for the MSP students is the ‘thesis defense’ part. It is the crucial process that leads to the degree. With good preparation and self-determination, all the MSP students shall pass the difficult session with pride and success. After the academic session, there would be a study tour and the training ship Kojima on-board program. This is the part that I am looking forward to. I have always wanted to get the first-hand experience on what is the frontline JCG mission and how do they maintain their capabilities.
Overall, life is full of obstacles but somehow we would manage them in our own ways. Take a look at Orihime and Hikoboshi as an example. They have the milky way separated them apart, still, every year on the 7th day of the 7th month, they would reunite. Please be strong, be healthy, be kind, and be hopeful. No matter how hard the mission is, we will overcome it. Ganbatte everyone.
