STIMULATING ENVIRONMENTS

13 December, 2019

It has been two months since the Maritime Safety and Security Policy Program (MSP) started in October. The lectures at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) are very stimulating because we can interact with and discuss not only MSP students but also students from other programs with various backgrounds. Additionally, students of GRIPS has been gathered from all over the world, such as Europe and Africa, it is possible to discuss based on diverse perspectives. Through this valuable opportunity, we will continue to expand the international perspective and enhance international relationship through exchanges with a variety of students enrolled in GRIPS.

On 20th and 21st November, we have attended the 2nd Coast Guard Global Summit, which was a more profound recognition of the international issues at sea. Furthermore, in the farewell reception, Prime Minister ABE gave words of encouragement to MSP students, including graduates. Through such valuable opportunities, we realized once again the necessity of cooperating Coast Guard and developing human resources in cooperation with each other, and the significance of this program.

The cold weather will become severe toward the end of the year, but we would like to thank those who supported this program, and We are going to study as hard as we can to be fruitful time.
