Cadets get trained on the domestic seas in the 3rd through 4th years of regular course in order to put into practice the knowledge and skills learned at classes. While in the postgraduate course they experience an ocean voyage practice (around the world) for about three and a half months to acquire further expertise in the handling of ships, in which they get used to ocean cruising through the repetition of various trainings, and acquire international viewpoints necessary for leading coast guard officers.
